Hi Ellen. I'm so sorry you were disappointed with the product. It's designed to mop up the excess moisture gentle from your hair. So it will mop up all of the dripping wet water if that makes sense. It won't dry your hair fully. I just leave mine on for 1-2 mins to mop up the dripping wet water and I then blow dry my hair. I hope this makes sense. Doireann.x
